New quiet space and office for The Cube

The Cube youth centre in Market Harborough has a new office and a quiet space for the young people who use the centre thanks to funding from Market Harborough and the Bowdens Charity (MHBC). The Charity has a long history of involvement with the Cube and has provided funding for its work since its inception.

Charlotte Cooper, Youth Work Manager with the Harborough Youth and Community Trust (HYACT) says: “Market Harborough and the Bowdens have given us funding to convert our old office into a much-needed quiet space and create a new office in the corner of the building. It’s a much better room and we can monitor anyone coming into the centre from the office as well as having a much better working environment.”

The Cube runs youth groups for its members, hosts events, supports Year 6 in transitioning to Secondary School, works with schools, churches and local organisations, and runs a counselling project and mentoring. The Centre is currently planning courses like cookery and leadership, taking young people on trips and hosting events in the holidays.

MHBC welcomes applications for funding from local organisations and individuals. You can find more information about it on its website at www.mhbcharity.co.uk, on Facebook, YouTube, Twitter and Instagram.
