Age Concern Leicester Shire and Rutland’s services aim to enhance quality of life for older people enabling them to remain in the community rather than having to enter long term care.
In 2002 Market Harborough & The Bowdens Charity made a grant to assist Age Concern in purchasing a vehicle to enable older people to access day centres located in Market Harborough Town and Billesdon. This vehicle is now due to be replaced and a further grant was recently offered for the purchase of a new vehicle which continues to provide access to centres in the town for its residents.
