Relief In Need Grant

We can make grants to residents of Market Harborough, Great and Little Bowden to help in times of difficulty.

Difficulties can come at any time through illness, disability, unemployment, or family problems.

This can mean the basics of life are not affordable even with Government assistance.

Here are some of the things we can provide:

  • White goods such as washing machines or fridges
  • Carpets and curtains
  • Furniture
  • Bedding
  • Household equipment
  • Mobility aids including wheelchairs (not provided by the NHS)
  • Clothing and school uniforms
  • Travel costs to medical appointments

This list is not exclusive and other items/services are considered.  Unfortunately, we are not able to help with direct financial payments, debt repayment or retrospective payment for goods purchased.

The Charity will only consider ONE application from each household within a 12 month period.  If you have applied within the last 12 months the Charity will not normally be able to assist unless there are exceptional circumstances.

We wish to help those in need and would ask that your application for help is supported by a referrer such as a health professional, social worker, other care provider, housing association, Citizens Advice or Beacon Care & Advice.

If you would like more information please phone us on 01858 419128 or email us.
