Beacon Care and Advice is a community-focused health and social care organisation based in Market Harborough.
Registered as a Community Interest Company (CIC), Beacon has been supporting the local community since 2017, with a strong commitment to wellbeing, inclusion and accessible support for people of all ages and backgrounds.
Beacon Care and Advice is supported by Market Harborough & The Bowdens Charity, which provides space within its Fairfield Road offices for Beacon’s services to operate.
From this central location, Beacon offers free, impartial advice, information and advocacy on a wide range of social care issues.
This includes support with welfare, disability services, long-term health conditions, mental wellbeing and navigating access to local services.
Their advocacy work spans many vital areas, including carers’ rights, dementia support, social isolation, domestic abuse, homelessness and financial hardship, making Beacon a crucial resource for vulnerable residents across the Harborough district.
In addition to its advice services, Beacon supports community initiatives, such as Neighbourhood Mental Health Cafés, which provide safe, welcoming spaces for informal mental health support and connection.
