Charity prioritises Mental Health

Mental health will be one of the priority areas for Market Harborough and the Bowdens Charity (MHBC) following the Covie-19 pandemic according to chairman Adrian Trotter.

Adrian says: “We had already decided to allocate more of our funds to mental health projects in the future before the pandemic struck. A good example of this is the seed funding we have provided to the Harborough Medical Centre for two mental health facilitators.

“However, the period of lockdown and sense of isolation, and the stresses of the downturn in the economy, which will affect many people in Harborough, are just two reasons why mental health is more important than ever. We are anxious to talk to anyone who is working on or has ideas for mental health initiatives in Great Bowden, Little Bowden or Market Harborough.”

This is just one area that the Charity is looking to fund as it helps the Town to bounce back from Covid-19. Anyone with ideas for projects should contact MHBC on 01858 419128 or email admin@mhbcharity.co.uk. There is more information on www.mhbcharity.co.uk and on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
